Research Interests: Soil-Plant-Animal Relationships
We contribute to the training and qualification of human resources with advanced scientific knowledge. Our research has transformed farmers’ lives through extension actions and also through research innovations, such as the Rotatinuous Grazing and the technical basis of the Integrated Crop-Livestock Systems. We have also supported the training actions required by the productive sector, as well as participated in forums of interest to society, such as the Low Carbon Emission Agriculture Management Committee. These actions are the basis of the PISA Program and the SIPA Alliance, initiatives created by our Research Group which, together with other partner institutions, take the knowledge generated inside the university walls to the field. As an example, each R$ 1.00 applied in the PISA Program has generated approximately R$ 6.00 in wealth back to society.
