Research Interests: Non-Ruminant Nutrition

Brazil is an important producer of food for dogs and cats, and has excellent sources grains and meat ingredients and their co-products that may be used in the formulations. The knowledge of ingredients and co-products, their potential, and how to improve them for the inclusion in dog and cat diets offers the opportunity to aggregate value to these ingredients. In this way, it is possible to develop better diets according to the needs of dogs and cats, with better nutrient evaluability digestibility, taking advantage of the ingredient functionality.
